Arca Continental S.A.B. de C.V. issued the following announcement on Oct. 27.
Arca Continental, SAB de CV (BMV: AC *) (“Arca Continental” or “AC”), the second largest Coca-Cola bottler in Latin America, announced its results for the third quarter of 2020 and accumulated to September 2020 (“3Q20” and “9M20”).
RELEVANT DATA FOR THE THIRD QUARTER OF 2020
-Net Sales were 5.6% higher compared to the same quarter of 2019, reaching Ps. 44,811 million.
-EBITDA was Ps. 8,642 million with a margin of 19.3%, an increase of 7.7% compared to 3Q19 and an expansion of 40 basis points.
-Net Income grew 0.4%, representing a 6.1% margin and an amount of Ps. 2,744 million.
RELEVANT DATA FOR THE ACCUMULATED TO SEPTEMBER 2020 (9M)
-Net Sales reached Ps. 126,649 million representing an increase of 4.4%.
-EBITDA was Ps. 23,514 million with a margin of 18.6%, an increase of 5.0% compared to the previous year.
-Net Income increased 7.0% to Ps. 7,757 million with a margin of 6.1%, an additional 10 basis points.
COMMENT FROM THE CEO
“Focused on continuing to develop actions to counteract the effects of the pandemic in the territories we operate, during the quarter we promoted an affordable product portfolio with a flexible pricing and packaging structure, supported by agile execution at the point of sale. This allowed us to grow 5.6% in sales and 7.7% in operating cash flow, derived from the good performance of our operations in Mexico and the United States ”, said Arturo Gutiérrez, General Director of Arca Continental
"Likewise, we maintained the commitment to support our collaborators and clients in the face of current economic challenges, while improving the commercial capabilities of the business with the deployment of digital initiatives and operational discipline to deliver profitable results to our shareholders," he added.
