Arca Continental S.A.B. de C.V. issued the following announcement on Oct. 15.
Arca Continental, one of the most important Coca-Cola bottlers in the world, was ratified for the fifth consecutive year in the FTSE4Good index of the London Stock Exchange, which lists companies public companies worldwide that demonstrate a strong commitment to best environmental, social and corporate governance practices.
The FTSE4Good indices group the leading companies in the performance of various important areas, ranging from the management and safeguarding of ethics and transparency, the protection of human rights, to the commitment to the development of society and its collaborators, as well as the protection and preservation of the environment.
From a list of 164 environmental, social and corporate governance indicators evaluated by the FTSE4Good, Arca Continental obtained a rating higher than the average for the consumer products sector, which places it among the most outstanding companies in the international arena.
As part of the recognition of Arca Continental's sustainability practices, the company is also part of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for Latin America (MILA) and the FTSE4Good BIVA of the Mexican Institutional Stock Exchange (BIVA) since 2019, the MSCI Global Sustainability Indexes since 2014, participated as a founding company in the Sustainable Index and the S & P / BMV Total México ESG Index of the Mexican Stock Exchange and has been ratified for 17 consecutive years as a Socially Responsible Company by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy.
