Global ecommerce logistics services provider Ingram Micro Commerce and Lifecycle Services is improving its capabilities at Mexico warehouses.

The company plans to expand the reverse logistics capabilities at its warehouses in Mexico City and Guadalajara, according to a news release

Their Mexico operations focus on providing major consumer electronics brands reverse logistics, international freight, customs clearance, and B2B and D2C order fulfillment in Mexico, according to the release. Their expanded capabilities will enable them to serve a larger variety of consumer brands, including those in apparel, CPG, and health and beauty.

Additional services provided by Ingram Micro in Latin America include forward logistics, dropship management and optimization, and cross-border shipping, according to the release.

“As an emerging market, Latin America offers significant opportunity for growth,” Martin Garcia-Brosa, executive managing director of Latin America, Ingram Micro, said. “In addition to providing fast ecommerce order fulfillment and forward logistics services, we are proud to offer comprehensive reverse logistics and returns solutions to meet the growing needs of online brands and retailers across all industries and verticals.”

In addition to its Mexico warehouses, Ingram Micro also has 17 other facilities in locations around the region and serving Latin America, including Costa Rica, Peru, Argentina, Colombia, and Chile, according to the release. The company also has a Miami-based Foreign-Trade Zone serving as a gateway to Latin America.

Garcia-Brosa said that having such an expansive network helps to ensure Ingram Micro’s customers can provide quick service to their customers, according to the release.

“A company’s ability to process returns quickly is hugely beneficial. In addition to enabling them to recover margin on inventory, a user-friendly return policy is very attractive to customers, motivating them to spend more and make repeat purchases,” Garcia-Brosa said. “We are already handling ecommerce returns for major online marketplaces and we look forward to welcoming new customers.”
