Arca Continental S.A.B. de C.V. issued the following announcement on Aug. 24.
Arca Continental, one of the most important Coca-Cola bottlers in the world, received a visit from the Minister of Labor of Ecuador, Andrés Isch. The visit is part of the actions carried out by the company in coordination with the National Government of that country to promote the generation of employment and contribute to the economic, safe and inclusive reactivation.
As part of the company's commitment to the development of Ecuador, together with the National Government, it has worked on various initiatives to promote employment in the country. One of the most recent projects is the agreement that it maintains with the Employment Partner Network that aims to support and repower work, generating new jobs under a fair and inclusive work environment.
During 2019, through the Employment Partner Network agreement and Arca Continental's Recruitment and Training Center, the company trained 243 applicants in commercial techniques and hired about 117 people who are currently working in the organization.
During the tour of the facilities, Andrés Isch, Minister of Labor, spoke with the collaborators and managers to learn about the security protocol implemented in the new normality that the country is experiencing, who mentioned: “Our priority is to generate greater opportunities that improve training and job placement for citizens. We are not only working to generate income and employment, but to generate hope in Ecuadorians. We are committed to a fair employment relationship, where the worker has better conditions and guarantees of rights ”.
The company highlighted that it operates under rigorous security measures such as: permanent cleaning and fumigation of the facilities and trucks; taking temperature at the entrance of the plants and the mandatory use of gloves, masks and constant hand washing. Throughout the contingency, the company has delivered more than 1,600,000 safety kits to its collaborators, and daily follow-up and monitoring has been provided by the team of occupational doctors. In addition, there was an accompaniment by specialists, coaches, workshops and a constant communication campaign for their safety, motivation and well-being.
With these actions, Arca Continental reaffirms its commitment to the economic reactivation and safety of its employees in all the territories where it operates.
