PEMEX: PEMEX delivers medical material to the CDMX Health System

Pemex issued the following announcement on July 7.

As part of its social commitment to the entities where it has a presence and within the framework of the comprehensive strategy developed by the Government of the Republic to strengthen medical care against COVID-19, Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) delivered the Government of the City of Mexico, through the CDMX Health Secretariat, two thousand pulse oximeters for the measurement of oxygen saturation and heart rate.

The above, in response to the request for support made by the Ministry of Health of the local government, on June 24. The investment made, which reaches the amount of one million, 740 thousand pesos, comes from the social responsibility programs that PEMEX implements for the benefit of the inhabitants of the federal entities in which it has facilities, infrastructure or in which it carries out operational activities.

The Head of Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, in recent days mentioned the importance of care for people who have been clinically diagnosed by COVID -19 and who receive medical follow-up at home, as well as for those with symptoms and have comorbidities and must remain in isolation.

As a result, various solidarity companies have made donations of oximeters that are part of a package that is delivered to the home, by the capital government, for those people who have contacted 911 and who could have contracted the disease.

In this way, PEMEX joins the efforts made by the Government of Mexico City in the face of this pandemic and contributes to strengthening its capacity to serve the most vulnerable population.
