ARCA CONTINENTAL S.A.B. DE C.V: ARCA Continental Reiterates in Ecuador Social Commitment

Arca Continental S.A.B. de C.V. issued the following announcement on June 3.

Tonicorp, the leading high-value-added dairy company in Ecuador, owned by Arca Continental and The Coca-Cola Company, announced yesterday the donation of more than 10,000 liters of milk for communities vulnerable, as part of their actions in favor of Ecuadorian society during the contingency for the Covid-19 pandemic.

During the award ceremony, framed in the actions of the initiative "Give a hand without shaking hands", the presence of the President of the Republic, Lenin Moreno; the Minister of Industries and Livestock, Xavier Lazo; the governor of the province of Guayas, Pablo Duart; The President of the Board of Directors of Arca Continental, Jorge Humberto Santos Reyna, and the Director of Arca Continental Ecuador, Guillermo Adam Faisal, participated virtually.

During a tour of the facilities, in what was one of the first public acts of President Moreno in the framework of the economic reactivation of Ecuador, the president was able to observe the security protocols with which the company operates.

In his speech during the videoconference, Santos Reyna thanked the Ecuadorian government for allowing Arca Continental to collaborate in attending to the health emergency, both in the supply of food and beverages for society, and directly supporting the first line of defense against viruses, such as medical and security personnel, as well as thousands of our customers.

“This permanent collaboration that you have fostered has allowed us to be from the first moment of the emergency providing support to our collaborators, but also to the community with food, drinks and other supports during this contingency, as well as assisting as much as possible to the security, health and relief forces in their tireless work on behalf of Ecuadorians, ”he said.

For his part, President Moreno extended “thanks and congratulations for having the business ethic of continuing to work, even in the worst circumstances. You have contributed to caring for the work of those human beings who have to bring bread to their children and for the well-being of their families. ”

The milk donation is part of the supports with which Arca Continental has sought to positively impact Ecuadorian society during the health emergency in the country, along with other drink donations, and protection and reactivation programs for thousands of small neighborhood stores.

With these actions, Arca Continental reaffirms its commitment to safely bring food and beverages to millions of families in all the territories where it operates, while seeking to safeguard the safety and job stability of its employees.
