COMISION FEDERAL DE ELECTRICIDAD: CFE Will Keep Mexican Households on Low Consumption Rates

Comision Federal de Electricidad issued the following announcement on April 18.

Although households increase their consumption of electrical energy, they will not fall into the high consumption rate (DAC)

In compliance with the mandate of the President of the Republic, the CFE and the SHCP issued an agreement, published on April 17, 2020 in the DOF, which allows domestic users of rates 1, 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E, and 1F, remain in these without considering the increases that occur in their consumption during the household shelter as a result of the health emergency.

This agreement protects 39 million homes served by the CFE, and will help take care of their economy in these difficult circumstances, so that no user of these rates will be reclassified to the High Consumption Domestic Rate (DAC).

The CFE, through the Basic Services Provider, will apply these measures and will act sensitively in any case that arises, guaranteeing the continuity of supply in the country and providing the required care at any time to its users.
