Arca Continental S.A.B. de C.V. issued the following announcement on March 12.
Arca Continental, one of the most important Coca-Cola bottlers in the world, was awarded today with the 2020 National Quality Award, granted by the Ministry of Economy and administered by the Institute for the Promotion of Total Quality AC, for its commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.
The award recognizes the best practices of the La Favorita Plant, in Jalisco, one of the largest production facilities of Arca Continental in Mexico.
"This recognition confirms the determination of our team to live the values and cultural principles that characterize Arca Continental, as well as represents an incentive to continue advancing in the construction of a more agile and competitive organization, focused on collaborators and development of their communities ”, expressed Jorge Humberto Santos Reyna, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arca Continental.
The National Quality Award is considered the highest award among companies in Mexico in terms of quality, continuous improvement, innovation and sustainability, competitive capacities evaluated through a strict process of validation of performance in each indicator of this recognition, and which are National references on the way to excellence of Mexican organizations
“Among the best practices that made this award possible, the Comprehensive Floor Management System stands out, which incorporates performance indicators from the different areas of the plant, including employee safety, process automation, innovation and sustainability for achieve a more efficient operation in every way ”, highlighted Arturo Gutiérrez, General Director of Arca Continental.
This achievement is in addition to the National Quality Award and Ibero-American Quality Award that PetStar obtained last year, the world's largest food-grade PET recycling plant, led by Arca Continental.
