Pemex issued the following announcement on Sept. 24.
Petróleos Mexicanos reports that, in relation to the recent manifestations regarding changes in the working conditions of its trusted employees, they are inaccurate and respond in the spirit of discrediting the responsible, rational and efficient use of the economic resources that have distinguished the current administration.
Various actions have been carried out that contribute to the operational improvement and financial stability of our company, without affecting the perceptions of its workers. The above is making possible a better use of the resources we have to meet the goals we have set and that are described in the 2019-2023 Pemex Business Plan. All this will contribute to give certainty to our source of employment.
Pemex guarantees the respect and right of its workers, recognizing that they are their greatest asset, so they work in favor of always promoting the best working conditions.
With the effort and commitment of the oil community, we will continue working to be the lever of national development and rescue energy sovereignty.
