Comision Federal de Electricidad issued the following announcement on May 14.
During the meeting today the actions to be undertaken in the strategic areas of the CFE were considered
The General Director of the Federal Electricity Commission, Manuel Bartlett Díaz, met with the directors of the different areas that make up the State's electricity company, in order to analyze and give continuity to the proposals made by President López Obrador during his meeting with high officials of the CFE, last Wednesday May 8 at the National Palace.
In that meeting, Bartlett and the Corporate Directors of the Commission, presented to the President of the Republic, the "CFE's Strategic Rescue Plan", in which the actions to be undertaken in the different areas that make up the generation, transmission , distribution and supply of electricity to the entire country, as well as the analysis and financial diagnosis kept by the CFE. Among the topics exposed to the President were: tariffs, increase in generation, strengthening of distribution networks, and the Anticorruption and Austerity programs.
Since the "CFE's Strategic Rescue Plan" was approved by the President, today's meeting was aimed at immediately launching the strategies and mechanisms that lead the company to meet the goals set for the president, in order to rescue the CFE and restore its social character for the benefit of Mexicans.
