COMISION FEDERAL DE ELECTICIDAD: To Ensure the Continuity of the Electrical Energy Service During the Rain Season, The CFE Carries out Preventative Maintenance work in the Condesa Colony

Comision Federal de Electricidad issued the following announcement on April 8.

The Federal Electricity Commission informs that a maintenance operation will be carried out to guarantee the supply of the electricity service in Colonia Condesa, located in the City Hall of Cuauhtémoc, before the next rainy season. The works will take place from 10 to 12 April at a time from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This colony is a wooded area, the winds that occur in the rainy season cause the branches of the trees to have contact with the electric cables and in many cases the branches come to fall on cables, poles or transformers and cause the interruption of the electric energy service.

Therefore, the objective of this type of operation is to reduce the possibility of suspension and guarantee the continuity of the electric power service during the rainy season, applying the operation, maintenance and safety procedures of the CFE.

It is important to note that the work to remove the branches that are in contact or proximity to the medium voltage network lines, which will benefit 16, 803 users of the colony, is done with strict observance of the Environmental Standard applicable to the City. of Mexico, NADF-001-RNAT 20015, to the Technical Manual for the Pruning and Transplantation of Trees and Shrubs and with the Public Safety of the CDMX.

We express to the neighbors the commitment to immediately remove the branches that are removed and avoid any inconvenience.

Also, for safety for people who transit through the area, the streets will be closed on the day and time they are being worked on, and will be indicated by adequate signage.

We appreciate the understanding of our users and reiterate the commitment to provide a quality electric power service.
