Arca Continental S.A.B. de C.V. issued the following announcement on Feb. 27.
Arca Continental SAB de CV, one of the most important Coca-Cola bottlers in the world, announced today that it was recognized for the sixteenth consecutive year as a Socially Responsible Company by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy AC (CEMEFI), in recognition of the ethical management and sustainable performance in the economic, social and environmental spheres of its operations, as well as its community welfare programs.
Additionally, PetStar, the largest food grade PET recycling plant in the world, led by Arca Continental, Coca-Cola de México and a group of bottlers of the Mexican Coca-Cola Industry, won recognition for the fifth consecutive year.
CEMEFI informed that Arca Continental, PetStar, and the other winning companies, including several members of the Mexican Coca-Cola Industry, will receive the ESR 2019 badge in the framework of the XII Latin American Meeting of Socially Responsible Companies, to be held from 14 to 16 May of this year.
Obtaining the distinction of Socially Responsible Company recognizes the commitment of Arca Continental to the welfare of the communities it serves, as well as that of its collaborators, the protection of the environment and the sustainable development of Mexico and the countries where it operates.
