Comision Federal de Electricidad issued the following announcement on Aug. 7.
The Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) reports that today it presented the technical manuals for the construction of electrical infrastructure that indicate the procedures to carry out the electromechanical and civil design of transmission lines and electrical substations.
The presentation of these manuals was headed by the General Director of the Federal Electricity Commission, Jaime Hernández. In his speech, he said that these documents detail the stages of design and engineering to build transmission and transformation projects of electrical infrastructure under the highest standards of quality, safety and environmental protection.
He added that the quality of the information contained in these manuals makes them an obligatory reference for those who devote themselves to the development or study of this type of infrastructure, both in the public sector and in the private sector.
He explained that these documents will contribute to disseminate knowledge of the greatest relevance to promote technological innovation in power lines and substations, and in turn will allow the CFE to continue strengthening the reliability and efficiency of the national electricity system.
Finally, the Director of the CFE assured that the Federal Electricity Commission continues advancing in its central objective that is to take to the Mexicans for many more generations, a service of electric energy of greater quality, at competitive prices and with more friendly processes with the environment.
Jorge Araujo, Corporate Director of Engineering and Infrastructure Projects, also participated in the presentation of these manuals; Federico Ibarra Romo, Coordinator of Transmission and Transformation Projects; Jorge Alcalá Domínguez, Advisor to the SUTERM National Executive Committee and representative of the Secretary General; Ricardo Mota Palomino, Acting Director of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of the National Polytechnic Institute and Javier Muro Gagliardi, Vice President of the National Chamber of Electrical Manufacturing.
The documents presented on Tuesday are grouped into five manuals: Manual for electromechanical design of underground transmission lines; Permanent installation materials for underground transmission lines; Manual for civil design of aerial transmission lines; Manual for civil design of electrical substations and manual for electromechanical design of electrical substations.
