Pemex issued the following announcement on March 10.

Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) reports that, in follow-up to the care of beneficiaries affected by the administration of the contaminated product in batch C18E881 of Heparin Sodium, with expiration date of January 2021, the number of patients under medical treatment is 54, of which :

21 are treated daily on an outpatient basis without compromising their health status;

6 discharged for improvement that are integrated into outpatient follow-up;

27 are hospitalized; 23 of them report a stable condition and 4 remain in intensive care receiving continuous renal replacement; one of them has required high life support.

The oil community mourns the fourth death of an affected patient. This fact was given to the Office of the Attorney General of the State of Tabasco, which is why in recent days the investigation folder FED / TAB / VHS / 0000272/2020 was integrated against whom or those who are responsible, to define the corresponding responsibilities.

PEMEX guarantees 100% attention to the beneficiaries who require hemodialysis treatment.

As for the patients who were affected, Petróleos Mexicanos reiterates its commitment to protect, guarantee, respect and promote the rights of all its workers and invites the oil community and society to avoid rumors that cause disinformation and may alter the course of efforts to address the case.
