Grupo Vidanta issued the following announcement on July 30.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, Grupo Vidanta—the leading resort and tourist infrastructure developer in Mexico and Latin America—has created an annual community relations program in order to foster closer relations and promote a positive dialogue with local residents living in the communities where Grupo Vidanta’s developments operate.

The first phase of this program began today in Las Jarretaderas, Nayarit, with the conference “Affective and Effective Discipline”, given by Dr. Gaby Porras, who has more than 20 years of experience. The objective of this conference was to provide residents of the Las Jarretaderas community with skills and tools for parenting.

Grupo Vidanta will implement this program at its other destinations, thus promoting the continuous approach with local communities, in the medium and long term.

The “Affective and Effective Discipline” conference, which took place at the Delia Morán Vidanta Foundation auditorium, represents the first of many actions that Grupo Vidanta has prepared to generate an assertive approach with the communities of the destinations in which it operates, educating locals about the sustainability and social support programs the company operates throughout the region, as well as their economic and social benefits.
